Upon receiving my business/accounting degree, I was hired by a large accounting firm. I kept my Mary Kay business and after a short time, I realized my earning potential could be amazing if I pursued the Mary Kay opportunity full time! So that’s exactly what I did. I love the flexibility my Mary Kay business offers me. I’ve learned that consistency is the key in this business and that working from home takes a lot of self-discipline. I’m so happy to have attained those skills from being a self-employed businesswoman and a mother.
Working my Mary Kay business has taught me so many things that I never learned in the classroom. I’ve learned how to understand people and their different personalities, and how to work with all kinds of people. I appreciate the fact that each person is motivated in her own unique way, and I love to watch other women develop and grow as a result of their drive and enthusiasm. With a Mary Kay business, you’re surrounded by others in the same situation, so you’re never at a loss for advice. It’s a win/win situation!
Through my Mary Kay business I have gained confidence. I believe in myself. I set a goal and make it happen. I am a leader, and I am respected by mentors and peers alike – the fact that I am in my 20s doesn’t make any difference at all. I am surrounded by motivating and inspiring people every day, which pushes me to become the best I can be.
